World Childrens Day

Jenny Öhman Mustafa Sherif

Happy #WorldChildrensDay !
We have everything but still, we need something to make #childfriendlycities

We have handbooks, tools, platforms, models, methods, roadmaps, scientifically based research papers, reports, budgets, and we even have the Convention on the Rights of the Child by UNICEF (54 articles in the pictures below). What else do we need?

Well, we need more Brave Leaders who think about around 30% of the world’s population (children). Brave Leaders who consider the rights of children and their value in making future cities.

🥂 On this day I want to greet and cheer up all true Brave Leaders who are working hard to make cities with and for children.

⚠️ I want also to call all other urban practitioners and decision-makers to take action! It’s time to understand the value of considering children in our urban planning and design processes. Becasue a city for children is a city for people.

Keep up the good work
Keep loving citie
