How do children face their challenges with education, health, poverty, violence and participation during #COVID19 ?
Did we adults forget about children’s right and just think about ourselves and our business?
UNICEF Sweden and The Swedish Institute called out to all #children of the world. The aim was to get help to #design , test and implement ideas that could help improve life during and after the crisis.
+1000 kids from +73 countries came together last weekend in the big hackathon “KIDS hack the crisis”.
It was a fantastic weekend of hardworking to support kids and the mentors. Big thanks to the Swedish Minister for #GenderEquality and children’s rights Åsa Lindhagen , The Executive Director of #UNICEF Sweden Pernilla Baralt and Head of Hack for Earth at Swedish Institute Ann Molin.
I am in love with the magical team work of openhack – coding for humanity who ran the hackathon behind the scenes.
See the final ceremony and the prize winners live this Wednesday

As an urban planner with focus on creating #FutureCities for people, this is one of activities I do in order to come closer to people (and kids in this case). It helps me so much to understand the end users of our future cities.
